iOS user guide
Distributing the QEHS iOS app via App Store or MDM, signing in, running offline, and troubleshooting sync.
8 min read · 4 sections
Installation
- App Store — search "QEHS", compatible with iOS 16 and later.
- Apple Business Manager — IT admins can push the app via Jamf, Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, Kandji, or Mosyle.
- Tenant-scoped enrolment — scan the QR from /settings/mobile to skip manual tenant-slug entry.
- Open the app. If first-launch, enter your tenant slug.
- If your tenant has SSO, the app opens the native ASWebAuthenticationSession for your IdP. On Face ID-enabled devices the session stays unlocked for the duration your tenant admin configured (default: 12h).
- If your tenant does not use SSO, enter email + password. 2FA codes are handled in-app.
Offline mode
The app caches your module catalog + 30 days of records on first sync. You can capture records, take photos, attach audio, and transition workflow states while offline. The queue drains when connectivity returns.
Widgets and shortcuts
- Home-screen widget — current tasks, inbox count, current week KPI.
- Lock-screen widget (iOS 16+) — single-tap to start a new record in a specified module.
- Siri Shortcut — "Hey Siri, new QEHS incident" opens the Incidents form pre-populated with location.
- Apple Watch — get push for assigned tasks, tap to see details.
